The HG Advani Histopathology Laboratory is an integral bridge between clinical Cancer care and basic sciences at the MORBAI NARAINDAS BUDHRANI CANCER INSTITUTE. It plays an important role in the diagnosis and prognosis of Cancer.

We recognized the need for an up-to-date Histopathology and Cytopathology services for excellence in Oncopathology. Our facilities answer diagnostic and therapeutic decision making in Oncology in a timely and comprehensive manner.

The HG Advani Histopathology Laboratory is a specialty Anatomic Pathology Laboratory focused on providing premium services on primary cases covering every organ in the human body. This comprises Histopathology and Cytology services including fine needle aspirates, body fluids and bone marrow examination.

The Laboratory:

The Laboratory functions 9am-5.30pm from Monday to Saturday and is staffed by a team of experienced technicians, with reports provided by qualified Oncohistopathologist.

Histopathology Services:

We provide the technical expertise and resources to cover a range of Histopathological techniques including:

• Frozen section service on request
• Routine H & E staining
• Histochemistry
• Immunohistochemistry(Selected antibodies)
• Processing and cutting paraffin sections
• Decalcification
• Light microscopy
• Histopathology interpretations consultation services.

Cytology services:

The standard cytology includes the examination of Giemsa-stained and PAP-stained cytospin/smear preparations.

• Smear Examination

 Includes fine needle aspirates and impression smears.

• Fluid Examination

 Includes pleural, pericardial, ascitic, synovial and BAL.
